Entry Citizens of the U.K., Australia, U.S., New Zealand and most EU-countries are granted a visa on arrival. Passports must be valid for a minimum of six months after arrival. There is no obligatory vaccination unless arriving from a yellow-fever-infected area in Africa or the Americas. You should nevertheless discuss your travel plans with your physician.
Clothing Light, comfortable cotton-clothing is recommended. Don’t bring too much. We have our own laundry and forgotten items can easily be purchased in Hikkaduwa at a low cost. For your treatments, we provide you with a daily fresh lunghi / sarong (a wraparound cloth) free of charge. No Alcohol Please! Alcohol is not permitted in the resort, as it is not compatible with any Ayurvedic treatment. Money The local currency is the Sri Lankan Rupee. We recommend to change money in Sri Lanka, as the exchange rate is more favourable here. Common currencies can be changed at most banks or exchanges.
Credit Cards Visa- and Mastercards are commonly accepted (American Express and Diners are not so). There is a wide range of ATM’s which accept Visa- or EC-cards in combination with a pin-code.
